09.14.01 This will take a will of Iron on the part of the US. A realization that tolerence is not as powerful as what we cannot tolerate. We are not the Russians. We have targets outside of Afghanistan we will hit, starting with money, with the money trail. This will take tearing up the tracks like Sherman's march through the South. You destroy the enemies ability to feed their men. You strengthen your borders, your Immigration, your Intelligence agencies. You plan where and when you strike, you train, you get ready, you squeeze for information, you set the traps, you find them in a cafe in France, in a small meeting in England, on a campus in Germany, you squeeze them, kill them, take them one by one. When a major blow does come it will be on our time, with our forces, (many from our allies) ready and able to carry out the mission. Short term I expect nothing much will happen, but over the next four years many former Arab leaders will be dead. Arafat among them, and Hussain, and Ben Ladin. No stone will be left unturned. But it is not going to happen at once. A poor Muslim extremist may be willing to die for his cause, and want to kill all Americans, but he most likely will be killed at night, by a missile or a bullet he never saw coming, or because he was at the wrong cell meeting at the wrong time. They have shown their willingness to go to the extreme, they will be paid back with more extreme than they could ever prepare for, or conceive of. I believe in Americans capacity to train, to work, to plan, to prepare, and to fight and to win. WW2 proved it. We will do the same here. It will require a different method, but we will. The same determination exists now, maybe more so. This evil act will be remembered forever, and we will prevail to defeat it. -- RF |
