My, but the boy does go on...

I am not concerned for the future, it will come whether I ask it to or not. I will do what is in my power and not worry about that which is not (an easy task for one who is not a parent). I have already spent years being angry about the inequities and misfortunes life deals out, and I have worn out that emotion. I just get a weary sense that the best of times are now behind us, and we didn't think to look around as we hurried past them.

All problems become small when seen from a great distance. Perhaps we all need to focus on the macro. I'm just selfish enough to not let this ruin my day.
