Subject: A prayer for all of us...............

I sit here with my hands trembling as I type. I have just been watching the terrorist attacks in the United States. The pictures look like a war zone. It is scary. It is unfair. It is so horrible. There is not much you can do to help. I feel like I need to do something, so I am starting a "prayer chain".

— For the victims of the attack.
— For the friends and families of the victims.
— For all the lives lost.
— For all those helping to rescue, save, and treat the trapped and injured.
— For all of us who sit and watch the attacks on the television and listen to it on the news.
— We pray for Understanding as to how and why this happened.
— For the strength to deal with the loss.
— For the courage to eventually pick up the pieces and move on with life.
— For the ability to one day forgive those responsible for this great loss.
— May God fill our hearts with love. Help take away the sorrow. Help heal the wounds.
— May the laughter of the children help us to remember that there is still good in this world.
— And, may the warmth of the sun, shine down upon us and help us find our smiles again.

Strength in numbers. Prayer is very powerful.

There is not much you can do to help. I feel like I need to do something, so I am starting a "prayer chain". PRAY

— For safety and protection for President Bush, his administration, Congress ant other government leaders and that God will provide the wisdom that they need to know the proper response to the events of the day. Pray that they will be responsive and receptive to the Lord for guidance.
— Pray that our nation will turn to God for strength ad not be gripped by fear and hopelessness.
— Pray that our nation will turn to God in this hour of need. Pray that people who maybe have never called upon the name of Jesus will turn to him now. Pray that in this seemingly hopeless situation people will take their fears to the "Hope that does not disappoint"
— For the victims of the attack.
— For the friends and families of the victims. That God will provide peace, comfort and hope to the families of those killed and injured.
— For all the lives lost.. Pray that God will limit the loss of life and the amount of injury. And Pray for those who made it down the stairs to safety that they will not remember the worst part but remember that they are safe today.
— For all those helping to rescue, save, and treat the trapped and injured. Pray that they will have guts and stamina beyond human strength to keep on working. Pray that others will join the volunteers to keep the searching going.
— For all of us who sit and watch the attacks on the television and listen to it on the news. Pray first to the One who can do something about it. God is in control. He wasn't surprised. He was aware of the events before they happened.
— Pray for yourself that God will grant your eyes to recognize an opportunity to share the hope we have in Christ Jesus and the courage to speak up and share his love.
